Danny Eastwood

Danny Eastwood has won the NSW NAIDOC Award, the National NAIDOC Aboriginal Artist of the Year Award, the NSW Parliament Award and the NAIDOC Poster Award.

Danny won 1st and 2nd prizes for the local Arts Award for both Blacktown and Liverpool Art Shows. In addition, Danny has produced public art and painted murals for various councils including Glebe, St Mary’s, Blacktown and Ashfield. Danny is currently working on a tree stump carving for Ashfield. 

He has produced artwork for the HUB Second Ponds in Stanhope Gardens. Danny is responsible for building and making a war memorial to Aboriginal Servicemen that is used at the Cenotaph yearly.

 Danny has exhibited at Blacktown City Gallery, Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, The Powerhouse Museum and Karlanu Aboriginal Art Gallery in Pitt Street, in addition to having International Art Exhibitions with paintings being sold to buyers from England, Germany, Spain, Argentine, Portugal, China and Vietnam. Danny is the illustrator for Koori Mail newspaper.

 Danny also works as a TAFE teacher, teaching in three corrections facilities as well as running art groups in Doonside and Blacktown art galleries. Danny designs commercial art for companies as well as T-shirt designs.
